this 3 ½ pound beauty.
Repeat client Mike Middlebrook landed many native San Gabriel
River Rainbows on a recent October trip.
Seven year old Karcher Losey of Emerald Bay catches his first
Calico Bass ever with O.C. Surf Fishing on a September afternoon
while fishing with his dad, Bob.
Karcher and Bob Losey also fished at the San Gabriel River with
Mike at O.C. Fly Fishing in October.
The rainbows were small but Bob & Karcher caught 20+ fish that day
in October, fly fishing for the very first time!

Dr. Johannes Hartman, visiting from Germany, caught several
surf perch and a couple of beautiful Corbina like this one in August 2009.

nice Yellow fin Croaker.

She was a little skeptical to hold it by herself however.

Chi Chi Biehn works a beautiful stretch of Deep Creek in the San Bernardino
mountains on a day trip on June 23, 2009.
The pay-off was 15-20 nice wild fish like the one he landed here.
Most of the fish are wild rainbows are in the 5-8 inch range but several
fish pushing 11-12 inches like this one that guide Mike Chapman helped
Chi Chi Land are in this stream as well.
Regular client Scott Feest enjoys an awesome evening of surf fishing,
landing 10-15 very nice surf Perch like this one on June 8th, 2009.

Client Pat Smejkal had an unbelievable day catching 30+ Perch on his
first surf fishing outing ever!
Pat also caught a few little Croaker on this outing with guide Mike Chapman
on Thursday May 21, 2009.
Regular client Scott Feest works a section of the South Fork of the
Santa Ana River in Early May.
Scott worked to land this holdover “Stocker”.

A Late April trip to Trabuco Creek proved very productive with many
nice “stockers” like this caught by Brian Flores.

On a recent April trip to the Santa Ana River, regular client Aaron Kokx
caught 20-25 nice native trout.

Steve Carlson brought his son and his father to fish with O.C. Fly Fishing
making up a three generation trio.
The trio managed to catch between 20 & 25 native rainbows like this
on their first fly fishing experience ever!!
Some of the fish were quite small but still a blast on dry flies.

John Curb caught several very large Barred Surf Perch like this on his
second outing with O.C. Surf Fishing on September 25th.
John landed this 14 ½ inch monster Perch on September 25th as well.
Zoeann Brown, fishing in the surf for the first time, managed to catch
a few Surf Perch like this one in early September.
